Methodist
Liturgy
The Worship Services at Calvary Church follow the
basic pattern of Worship of the United Methodist Church. After welcome
and announcements, the congregation joins the worship leader in
the Call to Worship and Unison Prayer. Hymns are sung and Scriptures
are read. After the Scripture reading, the children gather at the
front of the church for a special children's message. Following
this message, the children are led to the Nursery or to Junior Church
according to their age.
The sermon is delivered to the worshippers,
followed by the offering, prayers and more hymns. The service includes
a time for the congregation to share its joys and concerns, and
concludes after a final "passing of the peace" where worshippers
greet each other.

Calvary
Choir
The Calvary Choir adds joy and music to our
worship service each Sunday. From September
through June, the choir meets to rehearse each Wednesday
evening at 7:30 p.m. All interested singers are welcome to
participate. The choir is under the
able direction of Sue Paro and adds a great deal to the worship
experience. The choir sings a variety of styles and types of music
from classical to contemporary, from early American to gospel.
